Not all of the artists participating in this weekend's Open Studios in Roxbury make traditional visual art like paintings. Some make art you can wear. For instance, Elizabeth Dawan-Abdullah, of Eada Fashions, designs quilts and slippers (left). The blankets are made from toasty polyester batting. The slippers are made from cotton and fleece. You'll need them sooner than you think. Eada Fashions will be at the First Church of Roxbury in John Eliott Square. Open Studios runs today and tomorrow from 11 to 6 p.m. For a full list of Roxbury Open Studios artists, visit ros.xbuild.com
